How long have you been in business?
GT Transmissions opened in March of 1997 and has been in business for 12 years, looking forward to the upcomming 13th year.
What is your primary product or service?
We primarily rebuild and service automatic and manual transmissions, carry-out, installed and shipped.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I have been in the auto industry for well over 30 years with most of it in the transmission industry. I take pride in my work and opened my own shop to offer owners the ability to get "Quality Work they can Depend on"
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I personally do most of the work and am proud of my finished product. I offer a reasonable price for top notch work and actually understand how the transmission works and what needs to be done to make it last longer than it did from the factory.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
1 Location and do not wish to expand as the quality of service would deteriorate.

We are a half mile down on the left after turning on Powell Rd. from Jimmie Dyess Parkway/Belair Rd. Coming from I-20 off exit 194, Powell Rd is .7 miles heading towards Fort Gordon.
What type of payments do you accept?
I accept cash or all major credit cards. 50% deposits are usually required.
Which areas do you service?
I service the continental US with shipping parts and transmissions as well as offer long distance towing to customers needing repairs.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
I personally own the shop as well as run the shop most of the time.
What are your hours of operation?
Our business hours are M-F 8am-6PM and offer after hour pickups and drop offs with prior arrangements.
