Well unfortunately for you this appears to be the only way I can communicate with the Southeast Retina Center.
Your office recently sent my mother, a bill with a very threatening note about referring the debt to a collection agency. If there is a problem why can’t someone in your office pick up the phone. My mother is very diligent in paying her bills and this note was an insult to her. She never got the 1st bill and that may be because you do not have her correct address. The correct address is xxx Ave not yyy Ave. Luckily a neighbor brought the 2nd bill over and your payment is in the mail.
It is rather hypocritical to write such a note about a bill that is one cycle overdue when every time a member of my family has brought my mother to the office our wait has never been less than two hours. When we expressed our displeasure with your tight scheduling that causes these problems everyone we talk to has an excuse and is very unrepentant. There has never been an apology. Over scheduling is a sign that the office and the doctor care more about their profits and time than they care about their patients.
Finally, I called the office today to express and vent to Christina, the office manager, and she has yet to return my call. Seems very unprofessional and with a total lack of empathy for the patient.
My mother will never come back to the Southeast Retina Center. Any of her children will be more than happy to drive her to a doctor in Atlanta if we cannot find a suitable skill level in Augusta.
Hopefully your staff and the doctors will review their practices, procedures and personnel and make the necessary changes.
